Hi my name is Sunil Bhatia and I am a technologist with 9 years of experience in web and software development. I used to run a software company earlier and then made a shift to companies like Mphasis and People Interactive Pvt. Ltd.

I am currently employed with OnMobile as a Program Manager.

IT, systems and development run in my blood and my DNA is made up of 1 & 0. As much as I love reading about new technologies, I also like implementing them.

I have started this blog as a meduim to share my knowledge with you and inspire young people to tune their logic and passion for development.

Keep visiting regularly for updates on technologies and codes… and do look at the section of Utility Codes.

    Hi Maninder,

    This is how you set timezone in PHP.

    putenv(“TZ=Asia/Calcutta”);

    You can search for other timezones on this page:

    http://www.theprojects.org/dev/zone.txt

    Hi,
    The IST can also be got as :

    // Base time as GMT. India is 5:30 hrs ahead of GMT. Hence
    $IST = +5.30;

    $thistime = time() + $IST*60*60;

    $istdatetime = gmdate(“Y-m-d G:i:s”, $thistime);

    echo $istdatetime;

    Hope this is helpful.

    Regards
    Keyur

    Hi Julie,

    I am not very sure of your question. I understand that you are building an Internet Cafe software that will allow you to manage time and bill the user accordingly.

    Can you explain a bit more about the project.

    I recommend that you join the forum so that other people can benefit from your question later on.
